WE ARE THREE!

Three years ago on the 15th May 2022 we started our junior sessions!

It's been three years and we've seen the junior squad grow and go from strength to strength and we have even started an adult squad!

Our club remains small but involved in it's local community. Providing taster sessions for local groups and attending community festivals. We want to build a team for everyone in North Edinburgh that everyone can feel they can be a part of if they want.

While our adult squad hasn't been able to attract the numbers needed for regular competition they did take part in the Development league and got to experience competitive dodgeball. A couple of our players were also able to pick up some court time in the Scottish league with the Granite City Guerrillas as part of their "initiates" squad.

Our juniors have been able to compete in one Scottish Open and one friendly open since forming. Unfortunately, the majority of British Dodgeball sanctioned competitions are held too far away for us to be able to meet the costs of travel and accommodation that regular competition would involve.

We hope in future British Dodgeball might move competitions further North and more central to the rest of the UK so as to give us (and the GCG Juniors) more of a fair chance at competing. Ideally they would consider re-launching the Scottish junior leagues to encourage development.

That said we plan to start a junior league in Edinburgh and will be contacting youth organisations around the city to see if they would be interested in competing... Watch this space!
