Scottish Regional League - Meet Two

This weekend saw two more Granton Giants make their Debuts against the Granite City Guerillas and the first ever Edinburgh derby!

Granton Giants 6 - 18 Granite City Guerrillas

Granton took to the court assisted by Dan Bennington of the Buchan Sharks and on loan player Duncan Bisset. Giant debutants Grant Wilson and Danny Johnson joined Keir Liddle and Captain Amanda Gilmour on court.

Aberdeen's GCG squad were a young but very well drilled side and were in command of the game for most of the first half. Though the Giants grew into the game and managed to pull some sets back in the second half. Most of the sets were close affairs and there's plenty for the Giants to watch back on the highlight reels and enjoy!

Granton Giants 8 - 18 Edinburgh Dodgeball

The worlds first ever dodgeball Edinburgh derby saw Edinburgh run out first victors and claim bragging rights but it was a closer game than the final score-line might suggest. Most games went to the wire and there were moments of brilliance from both sides.

At the halfway point of the league Granton are yet to record a win - but are on the way to becoming more comfortable on the court and the wins are sure to come. At the halfway point the squad have markers set down and targets to improve.
